This is also your chance to sign up for our 2010 Adult (18+) Learn to Row Course aimed at those who have never rowed before and would like to give it a try.

This 12 session course (2 sessions per week x 6 weeks), from Thursday 15 April 2010 to Sunday 23 May 2010. Sessions will be held on Thursdays at 6:30 pm (we hope to make use of the extra light but understand if you must come a bit later) and Sundays at 12:00 pm.

The course will be coached by British Rowing Association (North-East) coach James Andrews with the involvement of other club members.

All equipment is provided. Please bring weather appropriate sports clothing (nothing loose-fitting please, layers are best) and trainers, as well as an old pair of sports shoes.

How to Apply - Please email the club for a copy of the Learn to Row application form.

Cost - The cost of the course is £35 which includes all materials, membership in the club for the duration of the course and insurance cover provided through British Rowing membership.

Introduction Day - Want to learn more? Then join us on our open day on Sunday 11 April, 2010. Come down to meet us, see our facilities and boats, and what we have to offer. We will also give free taster sessions on the day, so bring appropriate sports kit and a pair of old trainers.

The club owns a number of boats. Some of these are fine boats, sleek and light, designed for racing. Others are heavier and stronger, more suited for the coastal conditions at Tynemouth.

We recently purchased 5 new recreational boats from Burgashell with the help of a grant from Sport England and assistance from the Amateur Rowing Association.

We hope to see you soon at Tynemouth Rowing Club!
