Tynemouth Rowing Club was established in 1867 and is located in Prior’s Haven, Tynemouth under the shadow of Tynemouth Castle and Priory. The Club shares the beach with Tynemouth Sailing Club, Red Seal Rescue Service and the 19th Tynemouth Sea Scout Group.

The club owns a large fleet of boats ranging from recreational and learner boats to racing shells.  Rowing takes place from the Haven and there is access up river (approximately 18 miles to Tyne Rowing Club at Newburn) and on a calm day there is access to Holland !

Rowing sessions take place in the summer on most evenings, but there is always someone around on Sunday mornings so why not come along and see what we have to offer?
